I’m sure everyone has tried their fair share of party mixes, and has found their favorite flavor. Mine was the original Hot and Spicy Chex Mix… so good. But my boyfriend Adam on the other hand loves the Bold flavor party mix, and he has taken his love for that flavor (worcestershire) to our kitchen when cooking just about anything.
This week for my meal prep I wanted to try out a new flavor of roasted almonds, because lets be honest… eating almonds all the time is healthy, but really boring. Luckily, this nutritious snack can be transformed easily by roasting them in your favorite flavor combinations. I took a tip from Adam’s recent cooking and decided this week I would try Bold Roasted Almonds.
I’m not sure if roasting almonds can get any easier, all you need is an hour of your time! But to start the process I always mix my egg white and seasonings in a bowl, then add in my almonds. Once mixed just pour them in an even layer onto your baking sheet, and we’re ready to go!
There might be a little puddle of extra seasoning sauce on your sheet, but that’s where all the good flavor is, so when you mix your almonds up every 20 minutes, make sure you really stir them around and coat them again. As they keep baking it will dry up and leave you with delicious flavor.
After your hour has finished you’re left with a house full of good smells, and a snack almost ready to munch on (they still need to cool off!). If you’re tempted to throw a curveball of delicious flavor in to your snacks this week, keep on reading for the full recipe!
