Sometimes a girl just needs to indulge, or treat herself, and I chose to do just that when I decided to subscribe to a years worth of FabFitFun boxes. After receiving my Winter 2015 box, I fell in love with not only the subscription service, but with the products it provided me. I ended up using almost everything in the box, and I am contemplating purchasing more of certain products (you can read my review of the Winter 2015 box here).
So you can imagine my excitement when my Spring 2016 box arrived at my doorstep – I was like a kid on christmas. I grabbed the box, admired how adorable it was, and then without further hesitation I ripped it open to see all of the goodies inside… and the goodies were plenty. I think the products in this box surpass that of the winter box, they are such a good deal, and they are useful/practical for the season. Okay, okay, ramble over… here’s what the box included:
Herb Garden by MakersKit – $35
This kit is so petite and comes with everything you need to grow mint, thyme, and basil. It’s the perfect size to keep in the kitchen where there is natural light, and it’s a great addition to remind yourself the seasons are changing and fresh and fun things are soon to come.
Contour Kit by ISH – $32
The ISH contour kit includes a highlighter, blush, bronzer, and contour shade and is available in either light/medium or medium/dark. I got my contour kit in light/medium, and although I’ve only had a chance to swatch the colors once, they seemed to blend nicely on my hand and the highlight was really subtle and pretty. Basically, I can’t wait to try it.
Bath Bomb Trinity by Jus D’Amour – $28
These bath bombs are made with organic ingredients and essential oils. The scents included are: eucalyptus/peppermint/lime, lavender/chamomile/ylang ylang, and jasmine/rose/sandalwood. They smell awesome, and I cannot wait to try them!
Keratin Gloves & Socks by Bodipure Inc. – $9.98
The gloves and socks are a waterless treatment that strengthens nails and moisturizes skin. Each box comes with one pair of gloves and one pair of socks.
Tag Necklace by Jook & Nona – $65
The necklace included is made of 18k gold-plated stainless steel engraved with either, “love”, “happy”, “inspire”, or “dream”.
My necklace came with the word, “inspire” and it is adorable.
Shaving Emulation Lotion by HelloLegs – $19.95
Combining shaving creams and lotions must be a good idea, because this product is promising a better shave and smoother legs. I’ll have to give it a try to see how it stands up, but in the mean time I can tell you that it smells awesome.
Argan & Hemp Oil Therapy by Marrakesh – $22.99
I love argan oil for both my hair and skin, so I was so excited to see this oil. It promises to help hair feel frizz-free, silky smooth, and give it a healthy shine.
Yoga Mat Strap by Merrithew – $14.99
The strap included is pink and can act as resistance cord during strength training or as a way to carry your yoga mat around.
31 Bits Giftcard – $25
I was really excited to get this gift card because 31 Bits is a jewelry company that sells products handmade by artisans in Uganda. Each accessory purchase goes to support someone earning an income and receiving an education. 31 Bits reached out to me to tell me a little bit about their company, and I think the message on the back of the gift card says it all,
“Everything you buy can either have a positive or negative impact on the world. That’s why we combined our love for fresh design and pretty colors to create accessories that would do something good. When you purchase 31 Bits, you are part of changing someone’s life and making dreams a reality”.
When they did decide to reach out to me, they sent me a sample necklace just to show you how beautiful their pieces are! I was really surprised with how colorful the beads were, and how easily it could be paired with many different looks. With my gift card, I’ve already scouted out a few pieces of jewelry I’ll be putting it towards. If you want to check out what I am currently loving, click the links below!
Sterling Forever Giftcard – $30
This is another really cool/trendy jewelry company. Although I had never heard of them in the past, I am sure to use my gift card towards some stylish rings!
Total Retail Value of the Spring 2016 box: $282.91
For any of you wondering, FabFitFun is a subscription service that sends out boxes full of amazing products four times a year, one with each season. Each box costs $49.99 (you can get $10 off your first box with a discount code), or you can purchase a years worth of the subscription all at once. I purchased this yearly subscription with my own money, because I loved it so much after receiving my first box.
I think I am most excited to see if my herbs actually grow (I had an unsuccessful garden last year), to relax with my new beauty products, and to purchase some beautiful jewelry with the help of my gift cards. This box was a total success, and it really did include items I am excited to use. Did anyone else receive a FabFitFun subscription box this spring?
