Since Sephora is running their 15% off sale right now, I took the opportunity to go buy my makeup necessities while I could get them on a discount. But lets get real, I did not only buy what I needed, to be honest… I barely bought anything I went there for! Thank goodness for online shopping.
Anyways, while I was at my local Sephora I was aimlessly walking around, swatching new products left and right, seeing what I wanted to buy, and I spotted the new Benefit palette on display. The Cheekathon Blush and Bronzer Palette contains five full size products, including four blushes (Dallas, Dandelion, Coralista, and Rockateur) and one bronzer (Hoola).
I honestly wasn’t planning on buying this item, but maybe it was because I have started hitting pan on my Hoola bronzer (which I was wearing at the time) I convinced myself I needed this palette in my life. I mean, why would I buy another Hoola bronzer alone, if I could spend a little bit more and try a variety of Benefit’s blushes? I have been considering purchasing Dandelion for a very long time, but I could never justify buying it… but I did this time!
The packaging itself is just like any of Benefit’s other products; it’s adorable. The Cheekathon palette is in a magnetic box just like the packaging of the individual products, however the products themselves are nestled into a removable insert. I haven’t tried to take the products out of the packaging yet to see if they’ll go nicely on a Z-palette, but it looks like they will. I actually enjoy the packaging of this product, because although it’s a little bit bulky, theres a large mirror and it’s convenient to have all of my cheek products in one place.
The powders themselves are awesome. They’re smooth but creamy, pigmented but blendable, and they have a light fragrance. Although I’m not crazy about the smell, I can only really smell them when I’m using the palette, it doesn’t leave a lingering scent on the skin like some products.
Overall I am so happy I bought this, I can’t believe I got all of the cheek products in one box, for such a great deal; $58 ($145 value). This definitely meets my blush quota for the year, and I’m sure I’ll have plenty of fun creating looks and mixing all of the colors together! For all of you out there who have tried Benefit’s cheek products, which one is your favorite?
Until next time,
