My Current Go-To Protein Shake + a Big Announcement!

Everything In Between· Food & Recipes

16 Apr

I feel like I’ve been a little MIA with What Paige lately, and it’s taking a toll on me. Being pulled in a million directions and not being able to fully commit to everything going on in my life currently is not a fun situation. So I figured it was about time I came on here and opened up about what has been going on behind the scenes, and the exciting things to come.

Currently Adam and I live in a house that we do not own. I’ve been lucky enough to call this place home for a few years now, but we have had some issues with the home that are outside our power to fix recently and those issues keep recurring… I don’t wish plumbing problems on anyone!

End of a long story, Adam and I are moving!

I could not be happier to finally move in to my own home, even if we have been calling it “emergency moving”. We found a house a little more central to our places of work, and we’ve been so lucky to have family and friends help with renovations before we close, so that way we can move right in.

I cannot wait to show you all before and after photos, and take you along some of our own “fixer upper” projects! Until then, I’ve honestly been a girl on the go… I barely have had any time to make a normal meal, which is why I decided to show you my go-to protein shake – it’s a life saver, and satisfies my sweet tooth!

I’ve been really enjoying this shake to sip on at work, after the gym, when we are on the go buying things for the house, or even late at night when I need chocolate. It’s a multi-tasking meal…

Chocolate Protein Shake

All you need is a handy blender, your favorite chocolate protein (I normally love the About Time Chocolate Whey, but the EAS Chocolate Fudge is also so good), frozen banana, and peanut butter. Throw these all in the blender with either almond milk (my favorite), milk, or water and mix it up! I have been subbing out regular peanut butter lately for PB2, it gives it the same taste of delicious peanut butter with less fat. If I have some greens (like baby spinach), I’ll also throw them in there to attempt to get some vitamins – it’ll turn your shake green if you add a decent amount, but you can’t even taste it!

Chocolate Protein Shake

I also have been loving adding in Vital Proteins Collagen Powder. It is unflavored, so I don’t notice it at all in my shake, and I can’t wait to see if I get the benefits it claims. If you didn’t know, collagen is supposed to help with our hair, skin, and nails. I’m all on board if it works – I’ll keep you updated!

Chocolate Protein Shake

Well you guys, that’s all for now! Hope you enjoy this protein shake idea – I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. And if you want to get updates on my little fixer upper, and about the big move, follow me on Instagram!

Until next time,

Paige
