I think I am looking forward to starting the new year as much as the next person, but I also think it’s so important to look back on the past year and reflect on what’s happened. I feel like 2017 was a year of rollercoasters, like all others, lots of amazing ups, a few downs, but it was a lot of fun when you get down to it.
This was a year that allowed me to spend more time raising my dog Olive. She is literally a shining moment to my day. I wake up, she’s happy, she’s easy to please, and she’s friendly around everyone she meets. I’m pretty sure she thinks she’s a person, and in my family, she basically is.
2017 was also the year I found love. I’ve said this before, but of all things I cherish, it’s love. I care for and love my friends and family more than anything, but I feel extra grateful this year that I met Adam, and that we have basically had a year of fun ‘firsts’, and it makes me even more excited to see what 2018 brings.
Amongst other amazing moments in 2017, I was lucky enough to be a part of numerous weddings, and share in my best friends’ special days. I would be nowhere without these girls, and I’m so happy to have been a part of their wedding days, which I’m sure were amongst their top moments.
Shying away from favorite moments for the year, I also mustered up the courage to start my blog again! This means a lot to me, and I really wanted to start What Paige over fresh, and with the right outlook and attitude. Blogging is so much fun, and it’s a creative outlet for when I’m not in the pharmacy, but it took a lot to convince myself, 1. I could do this, and 2. I can put myself out there. It’s a nice little lesson to anyone else who wants to start a blog, it might seem intimidating and scary at first, but once you stop worrying what everyone else thinks, you can do it!
Lastly, I thought I’d highlight a few favorite posts from the year, both here at What Paige, and on my Instagram, @whatpaigeblog.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of my readers, even though it’s only been a solid two months, it’s been fun, and I cannot wait to see what 2018 holds!
Hoping everyone has a safe and happy new year,
Paige
